Matthew McConaughey to Create the Wackiest Malibu Beach Comedy Ever
You've spent years combing through tabloid pictures of Matthew McConaughey running in Malibu, surfing in Malibu, skateboarding in Malibu, and practicing yoga in Malibu, but pretty soon, you'll be able to flip on the television and see Matthew McConaughey's own comedy series set in Malibu. And the description is pretty wild.
According to Movieline's sister site Deadline, McConaghey's production company J.K. Livin has set up a single-cam comedy series tentatively titled Kick Ass Militia at FX. The series centers on "two brothers whose divergent views are always pitting them against each other on their Malibu compound- one a survivalist and one a free-loving cult leader." Of course! The story is from J.R. Reed, an old friend of McConaughey's. Gidget, you've got your work cut out for yourself.
