Can You Find the Leaked Thor Concept Art in This Picture?

Hot on the heels of the leaked Marvel concept art that gave us our first look at Chris Evans in his Captain America costume, Collider's gotten similar pictures that show Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Just to make things fun, we've hidden it in a photo collage above, but if you're having trouble picking out which is the real concept art and which is just a videogame character, we've got the full-sized image below. Enjoy!

It's like they just gave up on everything below the waist.

I know exactly what you're saying!
Also, how do you do Thor without the helmet; why is the hammer so small?

  • carg0 says:

dude! it's clearly the pic on the far right. i mean, c'mon, look at that hammer! and the 5th-grader bicycle helmet!

  • stolidog says:

He looks like he's wearing a pair of Tom Cruise's old disco lifts.

This fruitcake is playing Thor? Since when did the God of Thunder begin walking around in pleather and platform shoes, with scale mail made of vinyl and a perfectly manicured beard? How hard would it have been to find a hulking, handsome Norseman (with a genuine accent) willing to do the roll justice?
Beside this epic fail of a casting/costume job, this movie is going to bomb for the same reason both Hulk movies failed. You can't take one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe (Thor, realistically, could easily defeat 98% of the Marvel superhero/villian populace with his sheer might)and place them in a believable fight with something not equally godlike (e.g. Hulk, Galactus, Thanos, Apocalypse, et cet.) But then there needs to be exposition on the motives of such an equally powerful being, which are often hard to relate to with the average viewer. Hence, movies like the first two Spidermans and the new Batman remakes will continue to be wildly successful for their characterizations, and movies like this will continue to fail. The further Marvel drifts away from their own story-telling goodness, the harder their attempts to bring superheroes to the masses will be.

I agree it does look like they gave up on everything below the waist - hammer could be a bit bigger but, NO need to be a douche about it. It IS hard to find someone who can ACT and fill in the role - there's a reason why there hasn't been a THOR or CAPTAIN AMERICA movie made yet (I'm not going to count the THOR appearances on the HULK show or that weak as C.A movie from the late 80's). Both movies are so good yet it is extremely easy to mess them up if they're not done properly. Right now is kind of the right time for THOR in the midst of the Harry Potter movies dying out of their series of movies and all the supernatural chronicles of narnia, wolf & vampire movies coming out people will be more open to this kind of storyline. Plus we have better technology nowadays HENCE the long awaited GREEN LANTERN movie finally coming out. Long story short - it is easy to mess up these movies - just look at how Spider-Man 3 was RAPED. How could you mess up VENOM? HOW? That's How.

Damn, this movie is going to suck so bad. Thor's suit should be made of animals' fur and leather, not plastic. And he's a massive guy with enormous class 100 strength.

  • dan says:

Can't wait to see the movie, but yeah the waist down makes looks very pederstrian, some color or the Comic boots that had the flair at the top would be welcome.
Maybe he wears the helmet in some scenes????
It does remind me of the Movie Magneto Costume

  • dp says:

they had the thor, loki and odin helmets at comic con, i'm assuming they will be worn at one point or another in the movie.

  • There is certainly nothing at all like riding a nice bike on a mountain trek - especially in the spring time. I can't think of anything else that I would rather be doing - well, perhaps ONE thing .. 😉
