Don't Stop Believin': 5 Things You Need to Know About the Glee Live Tour
To answer your first question: Yes, they did serve alcohol at Radio City Music Hall during the Glee Live concert. And that's probably a good thing since Saturday's matinee was filled with almost as many adults as screaming 'tweens. Though while it would be very easy to crack that alcohol is the only way an adult could get through 90 minutes of in-your-face Gleegasms, the fact of the matter is that the live show -- or concert, if you please -- is blessed with great production value and performances. Mostly. The tour ends on Sunday, but here are five things you'll need to know before you purchase the inevitable DVD release.
· The ladies love Puck and Jesse
I'm not going to sit here and compare the cast of Glee to The Beatles -- even though the 14-year-old girl at the end of my row was literally having a meltdown -- but, goodness do the fans love them. Specifically the boys. When Mark Salling-as-Puck sang "Sweet Caroline" and walked through the audience, it sounded like the place was going to explode. Double that noise and you'll have an idea about the reaction Jonathan Groff received when he came out to sing "Hello" with Lea Michele. If you needed further proof that Newsweek writer Ramin Setoodeh was wrong, there are 5,000 girls walking around Manhattan with no voice right now.
· The cast performs as their characters, not themselves
When you see Glee Live, you're not seeing Lea Michele duet with Jonathan Groff, you're seeing Rachel sing with Jesse. When Chris Colfer and Heather Morris get together for a funny set break, they aren't "Chris and Heather," they're Kurt and Brittany. And despite being a great dancer, Kevin McHale isn't Kevin McHale, he's Artie in a wheelchair. Confusing. Though considering the girls behind didn't even know who Chris Colfer was -- literally a direct quote: "Who is Chris Colfer?" -- maybe this is a good thing.
· Glee is sorta dirty
Whether it was Sue Sylvester telling Mr. Schuester that he "manually stimulates hobos" (Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison made appearances at the concert in taped segments sprinkled throughout) or Brittany basically giving Artie a lap dance in his wheelchair, one thing is clear: While kids might gravitate towards Glee, it is certainly not kid friendly. Though surely the screaming parents in the audience didn't actually mind.
· Dianna Agron doesn't have anything to do
How far has Dianna Agron's Quinn fallen in the Glee universe? Well she was the only character not given a solo performance or showcase. In fact, if you were ranking them, Quinn would clock in last behind "Other Asian" as the person least important to the success of the stage show. I don't know what Agron did to deserve such a fate, but between her background status on recent episodes and her being set dressing on stage, don't be shocked when the actress leaves the cast before season two.
· They can all sing
If the Glee Live show proves anything, it's that Ryan Murphy is truly blessed with a talented cast. And while it's no surprise that Michele and Amber Riley (Mercedes) did most of the heavy lifting -- Michele brought the house down with "Don't Rain on My Parade"; Riley killed "Beautiful" -- it must be said that the entire cast can sing. Even the Robot Known as Cory Monteith can carry a tune, this despite his microphone being at least 50 percent lower than the other cast members. Hey, without autotune, you have to make some adjustments on the fly. Right guys?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8SFVkzNQfY - probably why Dianna Agron doesn't get to sing live.
Now Sarah, you just posted the worst video of Dianna you could find. She was totally caught off guard by Lopez at the end. I'm not saying Dianna is the best sing, she's far from it, but come on now. Here is her singing 'Worried Shoes' LIVE at a charity benefit concert she threw not to long ago -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbGZ_I_vAOg
With the right song, she can totally sing. I would've been down with them letting her sing 'Say A Little Prayer' with Naya and Heather, or maybe 'Papa Don't Preach' -- in which she did a great job on.
Anyway, it's quite sad when they give Heather (Brittany) a skit and Harry (Other Asian) his dancing -- and Dianna nothing. She has a pretty big fanbase, and is currently filming the Speilberg/Bay production of 'I Am Number Four' after the Glee tour ends. I think she's going to go far.
If Dianna Agron leaves the show... I won't watch the show anymore.
She hasn't the best voice, ok, but she CAN sing if she has appropiate songs.
Anyway, everybody loves Agronsky, and RM knows it. ^^
Dianna Agron is a better actor than a singer. Can she sing? Ofcourse but she is not one with a vast vocal range so she needs appropriate songs. however she is certainly a better actor than all the great singers on the show and if they would give her character the same treatment they give the rest she would improve as well.
with the little she ahs had to work with she has made fans so invested in Quinn and thats all on her not on the shoddy storytelling of the Glee writers.
i dont think Dianna leaves the snow, considering imdb says she is in every season 2 episode and she said on twitter that she couldnt wait for season 3. Dianna can sing, she doesnt have a strong voice, he voice is very good but it is soft and i do not understand why she didnt get any solos because ive heard her live on youtube and she is awsome 😀 Quinn is meant to feature more in this weeks glee and i hope she gets more screen time in season 2, but i dont think it was through a lack of talent that she didnt get to sing a solo and she has so many fans because she is such a lovely girl ( or thats how she appears )
if Dianna leaves i will be extremely angry because she is my fav
Dianna Agron is going to remain on the show for one major reason -- she's still the hot chick. Even in pregnant padding, she's better looking than all the other girls on the show. She's not the best singer, but she's a good dancer, and an even better actor.
And while she's going through her pregnancy on the show's story line, once she has the baby, the show has literally THOUSANDS of options on things they can do, will she keep it, will she give it up as planned, will she deliver in the hospital, or do a classic dramatic out-of-hospital delivery?
My prediction ... Cory Monteith and Dianna Agron get stuck alone together in an elevator or something and she goes into labor and MOnteith's character falls in love with her and the baby all over again ... it would make a really crazy/powerful plot twist.
Love Dianna Agron. I hope she gets more storyline. I enjoy her voice actually, its not a big voice like Lea or Amber but it's sweet. If she leaves I'd have a hard time watching. I was actually really surprised at her lack of storyline lately. She's gotten one of the biggest roles out of all the cast OUTSIDE of Glee and she is my favorite on the show, she has massive appeal, dunno why she isn't being used more. I hope that changes.
I Love Dianna Agron .
I will go to the animal shelter and get you a kitty cat. I will let you fall in love with that kitty cat, and then, on some dark, cold night, I will steal away into your home and punch you in the face.
Asshole
Diana Agron can't sing. That's a fact. But her character has become less annoying since she became background material.
And I really hope Glee continues to non kids friendly. I like the dark humor, and all. And would love to see Brittana happen (although I find it less and less probable every episode that goes by).
WOW! SERIOUSLY?? CORY CAN'T SING HUH? WELL THEN WHY DID THE PRODUCERS GIVE HIM THE PART? I THINK HE HAS DONE A PRETTY GOOD JOB DURING THE TOUR! HE SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD FOR A GUY WHO HAS NEVER SANG IN FRONT OF A LIVE AUDIENCE BEFORE...BUT I GUESS THAT IS JUST MY OPINION...AND THE GLEE WRITERS SEEM TO THINK THAT TOO BUT NEVERMIND...
YOU CALLING HIM "ROBOT" IS COMPLETELY RUDE AND UNECESSARY! AND I'M NOT EVEN A CORY MONTEITH FAN...BUT THAT SERIOUSLY BOTHERED ME!
calm your tits
she does have solos in EXPRESS YOURSELF and BAD ROMANCE,Dianna is a great actress and she will be very successfull in the future God bless her.
I don't really understand why the hell Dianna Agron didn't have a solo in any of the tours. Someone could clarify??
I can tell you why, she is a terrible singer live. She's not that great on the show either, they must do some serious work to her voice though. Go to youtube and watch her interview on Lopez Tonight. She sings Say A Little Prayer at the end and I was in shock when I saw it. She did do a good interview though.
am i the only one who thinks dianna is a horrible dancer? she flaps and fans her arms / hands, has affected neck flips and her legs move surprisingly heavyly for someone who seems so fit! but she is a good actress...
