The Weekly Andy Cohen WTF Moment: Jerry Seinfeld Calls Out Cohen's Show as a 'Jewish Curse'

CohenSeinfeld225.jpgWhy does Bravo's Senior VP of Production and Programming host a weekly late night talk show where he interviews various reality stars while sipping on a Maker's Mark? Who knows! Nevertheless, we here at Movieline are going to start covering Andy Cohen's live oddity Watch What Happens with a regular feature called "The Weekly Andy Cohen WTF Moment." For the first WTF treatment, Movieline will inspect last night's typically bizarre episode, which opened with Cohen introducing Jerry Seinfeld as "the most elegant Semite of all the Semites I know" and continued with Seinfeld wondering out loud, "Why am I on this show?"

Poor Jerry Seinfeld: His Marriage Ref promotional obligations took him to the NBC Universal-owned cable network last night. After giving Cohen a hard time for drinking alcohol on air (which Seinfeld declared "very unprofessional"), Seinfeld felt it was his duty to explain to Cohen that the whole concept of his talk show was very negative.

Shout "Why, Andy, why?!" at the computer screen while watching the clip below.

Jerry is smug & arrogant to the nth degree. However, his comments were pure "satchels of gold".

The show was hilarious! Andy did a great job of not taking Jerry too seriously - he is a commedian after all. I am an avid Real Housewives viewer but, anybody that takes those shows to seriously need to "get a hobby".

Jerry on Andy Cohen's very stupid show was the best half hour on TV all year. He emerged as a person with taste and sensibility wondering why he was even on that idiotic show. Andy Cohen should have shown Seinfeld the respaect of being a major force in late 20th century TV-
Instead he called out for Jessica to save him from that lethal dose of reality that her husband was dealing him. Bravo, bravo Jerry for standing up to that a-hole and putting him back in his place.
