The Hurley & Ben Show: Lost Epilogue to Get DVD Release

ben_hurley_lost.jpgIf watching Lost taught you anything -- besides that you never tell John Locke what he can't do -- it's that Michael Emerson is quite good at playing a role that requires him to coerce, misdirect and flat-out lie. So take this bit of news with a slight grain of salt, just because -- well, it's coming from the man who brought Benjamin Linus to life. Appearing on Attack of the Show on G4, Emerson revealed that there will be a 12-14 minute epilogue on the Lost complete series DVD set that will center on what happened when Hurley took control of the Island. Hint: Mr. Clucks for everyone! After the jump, video of Emerson -- doing his best McLovin' impression -- and a crackpot theory as to what the final epilogue might actually be.

All right! Meanwhile -- hopefully you still have that salt grain handy -- according to an Ain't It Cool commenter named "The Greatest," the scene "is CGI heavy and features a thinner but unaged Hurley and Ben walking toward a futuristic snowbound city; Hurley tells Ben that the first of the new candidates is ahead." Sure thing. Naturally there is at least a 99.99 percent chance this is untrue, but the idea of seeing Ben and Hurley act out a scene from A.I. sounds perfectly creepy and bizarre.

If you want to see the epilogue, plan on shelling out around $200 for the Lost complete series DVD collection this August. Or just wait for someone to put it up on YouTube.

12-14 mins?? After that useless finale we need a season-long, grainy 16mm explanation film presented by Dr. Marvin Candle.

No way in hell I'm throwing down 200 bones on the complete collection.
I love Lost more than anybody, but I already own Seasons 1-5 and I'm not about to buy that collection just for one lousy disc.
They should include those features in a regular Season 6 set as well and then give the people who buy the complete collection some other incentive, like making it limited edition or have some snazzy packaging or a litograph or some stupid worthless plastic trinket for the diehard nerds.

I don't own any of the previous seasons. So I will most likely buy the Complete Series Box.
Look forward to watching it. I hope its still Jorge Garcia and I hope the whole CGI thing is just a rumor cause if I was Jorge I would find it insulting that they are going to use CGI to make me look thinner.
Hurley can be a big guy and still be Jesus or Protector of the island.
And maybe they can make a miniseries spin off that lasts for a month or two months.
