Yeah, That's Not the Ticket: Dodgers Sue Jon Lovitz

tommyflanagan.jpgFielding a second-place baseball team isn't as cheap as it used to be, folks. Ask the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have filed suit against a group of 100 season-ticket holders that the organization claims hasn't paid for its season tickets. Among them: Jon Lovitz -- yes, the Jon Lovitz, who gave the world just the catchphrase to handily apply to a scenario like this one.

in a breach-of-contract suit filed Monday in L.A., Dodger Tickets LLC alleged that Lovitz and Co. owe a total of $95,400 for three dugout club seats they bought for 2010. The parties were apparently square for the season tickets in 2008 and 2009, running aground on their written agreement earlier this year before the team dropped the legal bomb.

Lovitz has not been reachable for comment. For old times' sake, however, one can only expect his response to adopt the character of SNL's pathological liar Tommy Flanagan -- something to effect of, "On advice from my attorney, I have no comment at this time. Yeeeaahhh. And anyway, Andre Ethier's been out for two weeks. Yeeeeahhh. Manny's good, but he's not that good. Yeeeahh, that's the..." Silence, click, rimshot, etc.
