Weinsteins Won't Reclaim Miramax

miramax-logo.jpgHarvey and Bob Weinstein have been working steadily over the last few months to regain their old haunt Miramax from Disney, but the LAT says the deal has fallen apart. Among the sticking points: the Weinsteins' final bid, $625 million, wasn't quite as high as Disney wanted. Ugh, now the brothers will have to use that money to actually release the films they have on the shelf. They hate having to do that! [LAT]

  • The Winchester says:

Note to whomever actually DOES purchase Miramax:
First order of business will be to combine both Kill Bill into one single DVD, with all the damn special features. That is all you have to do.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
    This is beyond sad.

  • Golly gee Disney, I was under the impression that movie trailers are supposed to create you thrilled to find out a motion picture. But the trailers for Tangled are a main fail in that regard, and so I'm not excited to determine the motion picture, and you dipwads are acting like it is MY fault. You say "Ignore the trailers! The video is the greatest Disney motion picture since Fantasia!" and THAT I'm supposed to believe? As opposed to your trailers?
