· Another day, another Star is Born casting rumor/production update. This time around Gerard Butler's name has been invoked as a replacement for Russell Crowe, who was only two weeks ago lamenting the departure of Beyoncé Knowles. And yet the latest report cites Butler's co-star in the latest remake of the musical drama as... Beyoncé Knowles. Jeez. Just cast Betty White and get it over with. [LAT]

· Paul Greengrass and his shaky-cam are back on the market: He reportedly won't be directing the James Cameron-produced, Shane Salerno-scripted remake of Fantastic Voyage after all. [Deadline]
· Emma Watson and Logan Lerman are in talks to co-star in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, an adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's controversial teen novel about a young man's druggy, sexy grapplings with growing up. Chbosky is set to adapt and direct the film himself. [Variety]
· Jessica Lange has supplanted Susan Sarandon as the likely successor of Barbara Stanwyck's role in the film adaptation of the '60s TV Western The Big Valley. Mm-hmm. Again, folks: Betty White. Hello? [Variety]

As everyone supposed, “You Oughta Know” by Alinis Morrisette. Here’s a bit of trivia – from what I read she wrote it about the guy from the show with the Olsin twins. She used to date him and he ditched her. He didn’t picture how sick she was until he discovered the song.
