Michael Bay Using Megan Fox's Transformers Departure to Audition Beautiful Supermodels

That headline you're reading up there is literally something I IM'd to someone as a joke after learning this afternoon that Megan Fox had been fired from Transformers 3, freeing up a love interest role in one of the biggest movies of next year. Now, mere hours later, I am using my joke headline in a real story about what Michael Bay is really, actually doing. I mean, give it a day at least, Mike!
Under the convenient, respectable cover of potentially hiring up-and-coming actress Gemma Arterton to replace Fox, The Wrap reports that Bay is bringing in every Mystic Tanned supermodel in town:
"Prince of Persia" star Gemma Arterton is the front-runner to replace Megan Fox in "Transformers 3," TheWrap has learned.
An individual close to the casting process says the actress has already had discussions with Bay about the coveted role. Other possible replacements for Fox include models Bar Rafaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker. [...]
Rafaeli and Kerr were both brought in to the project's casting office to read for "Transformers 3," while Decker has the most substantial acting career of the three models.

The only thing here that surprises me is that you sound surprised. You expected him to call in non-models? Why would he start doing that now?

Heck Michael Bay, you should just replace the female lead for every sequel!
Don't bother writing a plot for this sequel either. Just kill off every character and then revive them again, just like the last movie! Will it Suck with a capital S? Sure, but that's what the fans demand, as they have shown with their box office support.
Wow, The Wrap is really taking liberties with the phrase "substantial acting career".
Transformers 1 was the greatest. 2 was ok, at least the effects were. But I don't know how great 3 can be without Megan Fox. She added some great eye candy to the film.
