What's On: How I Met Your Matthew Morrison
Mr. Neil Patrick Harris drops in on Glee tonight in his second Fox cameo of the season. Will his emcee swagger and stage chops outdo the club's guru, or will Will come back with a Sisyphean hand-jive from the floor? And does your wan, preteen body have enough sweat to get through it all?
Glee [Fox, 9 PM]
Will's longtime rival (NPH) shows up and complicates life for the glee club, inevitably inspiring Mercedes to say something defiant. Will and NPH enjoy a massive dancefloor showdown and fight over a mic stand like a couple of runts. Should be a luscious display of angst and fist-pumps.
American Idol [Fox, 8 PM]
Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Casey James each perform two songs, hauling out one of the judges' choices and another of their choosing. Thus far we know Crystal's singing "Maybe I'm Amazed," Lee's tackling "Hallelujah," and Casey James is crooning "Daughters." All pretty pedestrian/overplayed selections, but I think Crystal's the one poised for most success in that lineup. I'm praying for a Crystal-Casey final two, and if all this uppity DeWyze fandom interrupts it, I'm sending a letter to my nearest, weakest town hall official.
V [ABC, 10 PM]
On the season finale, Chad starts to realize that alien warlord and part-time Natalie Imbruglia impersonator Anna is using him. Val's water breaks after a V starts to trail her, and Erica and Tyler take up a dinner invite on the mothership. And maybe it stops being so damn gray in New York City. Talk about a thrilling conclusion.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest [TCM, 10 PM]
The Best Picture of 1975 details the grim, adversarial forces present within a mental ward. The adaptation of Ken Kesey's best-seller won two acting Oscars: one for Jack Nicholson, and the other for Louise Fletcher as the dastardly Nurse Ratched. In her acceptance speech, Fletcher used sign language to communicate with her deaf parents -- which is one of those rare moments when the Oscars mean something.

Let's hope the boys break out their spangled unitards on Glee.
