Fox Unveils Fall Schedule: Hope You Enjoy Glee
If you were hoping that Fox would do something fun and exciting with their fall schedule -- like, for instance, moving Fringe out of the Thursdays-at-9 trench war and into the Lost-vacated Tuesdays-at-9 slot to capitalize on the mythology-heavy nature of the show -- you're out of luck. The network released its schedule today and it's decidedly bland -- unless you're the kind of person who gets riled up by the fact that Glee is airing an hour earlier. Also, are you ready to hear Joe Buck promote Glee during the Super Bowl? Hopefully, since the network announced their breakout hit will get the coveted post-Super Bowl slot in February. After the jump, the complete fall and mid-season schedules.
MONDAY
8:00 PM: HOUSE
9:00 PM: LONESTAR (new)
Lonestar isn't a spin-off of Spaceballs (though, that would be awesome); it's a drama series set around the world of big Texas oil. And since Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) is involved, here's hoping it plays like The O.C. Goes Longhorns.
TUESDAY
8:00 PM: GLEE
9:00 PM: RAISING HOPE (new)
9:30 PM: RUNNING WILDE (new)
My grand plans for Fringe aside, using Glee to launch a Tuesday night comedy block isn't a terrible idea at all. Raising Hope is a family comedy from My Name is Earl creator Greg Garcia; Running Wilde is the Mitch Hurwitz-Will Arnett reunion with Keri Russell. You might want to set your DVRs for that one... now.
