TV Bites: Jersey Shore Imports Fresh Italian Blood
· First it was announced that Jersey Shore would split its second season between Miami Beach and Seaside, Heights, N.J. and now MTV is shaking up the guidos' sophomore season more by introducing new cast members. According to EW, the fresh blood will be introduced during the second half of the season, which premieres at the end of July. No word yet on whether original cast members will be switched out for the new. [EW]
MTV grafts Skins from the U.K., NBC greenlights Jerry Bruckheimer, and more TV Bites after the jump.
· MTV is adapting the U.K.'s risque teen series Skins for its audience. The series, which is being scheduled for a January premiere, will be written mostly by teens like the original series. [Deadline]
· NBC has greenlighted Jerry Bruckheimer's action-procedural Chase. [THR]
· True Blood is welcoming British actress Lara Pulver to Bon Temps this season as Sookie's godmother. [EW]
· Turner Classic Movies is planning a tribute for Lena Horne on May 21, which will include screenings of The Duke Is Tops, Cabin in the Sky, Panama Hattie and The Fallen Sparrow. [The Wrap]
