Inception Trailer, or a Dream Deferred?
· Hopefully, you're about to watch the new Inception trailer, plucked from one o' them viral marketing sites. Your perspective might look very similar to this after a few beers tonight.
The video (fingers crossed!):

I am probably the only one to think this way, but Inception is going to suck. Because Nolan is perfect at teasing only - he can create interest in his product, with cool images and intimidating music, but once it comes to product itself, it turns out to be boring, weak and full of cheap philosophy. All these self pitying geeks, that just yesterday read something about Nietzsche in wikipedia and today thinking they are the smartest people in the world, this is who will enjoy this film and continue worshiping Nolan, not understanding how pathetic they are. And since I love films, it hurts me on personal level that such people may find Nolan's films smart and intellectual when they are clearly not. And I wouldn't mind all this mindless worshiping of pretentious and hollow director, that his greatest ability is to put a lot of smoke, if all these people wouldn't praising him so much. There is little to admire in Nolan as an artist, people that can't understand Fellini will find there consolation with Nolan, not understanding that this is really not a substitution. The funny thing is that you can't explain this to them, they simply refuse to listen. Ah, whatever.
