Matt Damon on 30 Rock: A Real-Life Astronaut Mike Dexter?
People's got the first image of Matt Damon guesting on the 30 Rock finale, and instead of playing an actor who is giving Sheinhardt-Universal a headache thanks to his reluctance to commit to more Bourne movies, Damon appears to be playing someone who looks an awful lot like Astronaut Mike Dexter, the fantasy figure of Liz Lemon's dreams. (Fitting, since Damon was reportedly the object of Tina Fey's guest-starring dreams for many a moon.)
Still, Zap2It reports that all is not how it may seem:
Damon will play a commercial airline pilot whom Liz (Tina Fey) meets in this May's finale.
The character is apparently a big "TGS" fan and the episodes are a regular part of his in-flight entertainment. The two will hit it off and their relationship won't be a one-ep wonder. Damon is set to return when "30 Rock"'s fifth season debuts this fall.
OK, fine, so he's not a real-life Mike Dexter. Still waiting on an explanation of Liz's hair, though.
