CBS Finally Releases Video Evidence of Conan O'Brien Interview

Conan60Minutes225.jpg

Because of a clause in his termination contract, Conan O'Brien was banned from appearing on televised interviews until May 1. But now? All bets are off! To celebrate, CBS -- in their increasingly strong efforts to make sure you don't actually tune-in to watch Conan O'Brien on 60 Minutes this Sunday -- has released a video clip of the interview, the first evidence that Conan really should have thought of wearing a tie while talking to Steve Kroft. Seriously, he looks like a mess. Anyway, click ahead to watch Coco say something you already read on Thursday.

I don't know what the writer is talking about; Conan looks fine. He just grew a beard and is wearing a polo shirt. What's the problem??!!
This tiny little smidgen of the clip is not going to stop me from watching him on "60 Minutes".

  • Christopher Rosen says:

For reference, that is clearly not a polo shirt.

  • Juan Manuel says:

Ridiculous and unnecessary attire comment from the writer.
Conan is a comedian with an amazingly intelligent and biting wit which is never, ever cynical. Compare him to all the others and you'll see that his humor is never hurtful or destructive. That to me is amazing and it's why, in my humble opinion, he is so terrific. Where others have it easy with Politicians, Celebrities and people in general, Conan is the very funny, very intelligent and very physical comedian who finds the laughter at no one's expense. He did not deserve this and NBC and Jay are not innocent, though they are trying so hard to convince us otherwise... Very disingenuous on their part. Those of us who THINK can clearly see through their deception. They deserve every negative press they get for their callousness, greed and pathetically petty behavior.

  • Bailey says:

    Steve Kroft, not Croft.

  • Christopher Rosen says:

So not being cynical means he can't wear a tie. Got it.

  • Marcy says:

Oops, I noticed after I posted.
So the best you can do is reply about his shirt? Doesn't really matter
what he wore. He certainly did not look a mess. If anything, he looks rested. I'm still going to watch him on 60 minutes. He got a shoddy deal and I for one, miss him on the Tonight Show. Watching Leno currently host, has cured my insomnia.

  • Olive says:

I have to laugh at the comment Christopher Rose wrote to this. A tie? Really? The interviewer wasn't wearing one either. Conan's appeared without a tie in interviews before (Charlie Rose, James Lipton - that's just from a brief look at Youtube).
Conan looks fine. Maybe his voice is a bit gravelly from performing on tour. I somehow suspect that the people tuning in to 60 minutes will do it to see what Conan O'Brien has to say and not what tie he is wearing or how well-groomed he is. Or do you choose to watch interviews based on the interviewee's appearance?

  • Kelly says:

After reading this and the Patton Oswalt article, it seems pretty clear to me that this Christopher Rosen fellow is a whiny lil' turdmunch who has sand in his vagina.

  • Christopher Rosen says:

Thanks Kelly! Keep up the constructive comments!
