Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg Lead Colored Girls Ensemble
At Monday's Why Did I Get Married Too premiere, Tyler Perry reportedly came out with the actual cast of his screen adaptation of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf. And it's decidedly lighter on star power than the "dream cast," with Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Janet Jackson, Kerry Washington, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise and Macy Gray filling in spots where the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce Knowles and Alicia Keys were once rumored to be under consideration. It shoots this summer in New York, with an outside shot of being ignored by Perry come Oscar season 2011. [AOL Black Voices]

What the hell are you talking about? you don't get any bigger than Janet Jackson as far as star power. All her movies opened #1. Beyonce is a terrible artress and she can't sell movie if her lace front wig was on fire. Alicia Keys? All her movies flop. Only person that I can say is bigger than Janet as far as media favorite I would say Oprah but even she haven't had 4 #1 movies under her belt.
How DARE Macy steal the part earmarked for Oprah. At least, I'm hoping.
Janet's wig didn't help sell Colored Girls. One of the lowest grossing Tyler Perry movies and it didn't open at #1.
Colored Girls bombed and it didn't open #1. The majority of Beyonce's movies open at #1 and last one Obsessed sure did. Who proclaim Janet such a great actress? Beyonce has got more praise than her as an actress from critics and actual Golden Globe nomination. Please don't act like Janet hasn't been a proud supporter of the weaves and wigs, just like Beyonce. Most of the women in Hollywood have, regardless of race.
