WB the First Studio to Announce All-3D Tentpole Lineup
Warner Bros. has become the first studio to spell out what's become increasingly obvious in Hollywood: From here out, every WB tentpole, superhero film, and effect-heavy release will be shot in 3D. (The studio is so high on the format that Clash of the Titans was converted to 3D in post-production, though buzz on the transfer is not good.) Obviously, the next studio to follow suit will be Sony Pictures Classics. [Slashfilm]

Wow, Avatar really IS a game changer!
Too bad the game sucks now.
As soon as movies start going 3D all the time, I will completely stop going to theatres and start pirating them online. After all, if you're going to force me to pay for a feature that I dont want in the first place, I'm not going to pay you. Its as simple as that.
Unlike, say color or sound, 3D is an unnecessary novelty and, when the market is glutted and the novelty wears off, which it will indeed do, the studios will be left swiming in red ink.
