TV Bites: Claire Forlani Boards Matt LeBlanc's Episodes

· This morning, Matt LeBlanc welcomes a trio of actors to his Showtime/BBC comedy series Episodes. Brit thesps Claire Forlani and Stephen Mangan have been cast as a successful English husband-and-wife comedy team set on taking their hit series to America, until a smart head of programming in Hollywood (Kathleen Rose Perkins of Trust Me ) forces them to replace the British male lead with U.S. comedy star, Matt LeBlanc, who is playing a version of himself. The series, from Friends co-creator David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik (Mad About You) will start production in May. [THR]

A Sopranos star moves to Detroit, Comedy Central invests in Workaholics, and more TV Bites after the jump.

· Emmy-winning Sopranos actor Michael Imperioli will star in an ABC drama pilot called 187 Detroit, about a smart, tough-minded veteran detective with a short fuse who has a near-perfect record for clearing cases and putting murderers away. [THR]

· Comedy Central has ordered 10 episodes of a new series called Workaholics from Scrubs writer/producer Kevin Etten and starring Mail Order Comedy troupe members Blake Anderson, Anders Holm and Adam Devine. [Variety]

· Attention Kate Gosselin -- there is a new daytime program that might be able to use your hosting services. NBC is expanding the Access Hollywood empire with a new talk show Access Hollywood Live in six of the peacock's markets. [Variety]

· How's this for a Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice crossover: Derek Shepherd's little sister will be introduced for the first time on Practice, when she -- Dr. Amelia Shepherd, played by Caterina Scorsone -- gets a job at Oceanside Wellness. [EW]

· Comedy Central is pulling both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report from Hulu beginning March 10. [AP]
