· The impossible dream of a million 30-ish culture sponges may soon come true: Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux are said to be developing Zoolander 2 for Paramount. Theroux, who will co-write with Stiller as well as make his directorial debut, is said to plan a visit to Paris Fashion Week to get all au courant with the style; Stiller, meanwhile, will no doubt enjoy absorbing a gazillion Zoolander inquiries at this weekend's Greenberg junket. Sorry, Ben. [Deadline]

Drew Barrymore gets with the whales, Natalie Portman gets high on the road, and more Hollywood Ink after the jump.

· Drew Barrymore is at the top of the list to star in Everybody Loves Whales, about the 1988 effort to free gray whales trapped under ice in the Arctic Circle. In another bit of unfortunate timing for movie-development announcements, not quite everybody loves whales. [Deadline]

· Natalie Portman is negotiating to star in and produce Best Buds, a road-trip comedy about a young woman who flees her pending nuptials with her pals to discover the joys of "marijuana and the bonds of their decades-long friendship." Get it? Best Buds? Adorable! Was Hangover Rip-Off About Beautiful Girls Who Smoke Pot, featuring America's Sweetheart Natalie Portman already registered with the WGA? Because it had better be! [Variety]

· You know how Hollywood just always has an instinctive understanding for what the public wants and needs? All right, never mind: There's a third John DeLorean biopic in the works. But only one is after your heart -- remember that. [THR]

· Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds will provide that voice talent for the DreamWorks Animation caveman comedy The Croods. This is from the director of Space Chimps, so, you know, hot damn. [Variety]

· I've been sick this week, so if my first response to the news that McG needs a new leading man for his Reese Witherspoon romcom This Means War is "Duh, 'Pants on the Ground' guy," please try to understand. Just blame the cough meds and sinus pain and let's try to put it behind us. [Deadline]

  • Nanny Agency says:

Thespian Drew Barrymore is having an uncomfortable time, it's suggested, at interviews for her latest movie 'Going The Distance' as after shooting ended she split up with her co-star and fella Justin Long. I reckon she'll be fine ultimately, she's a Hollywood veteran, is the former child star Drew and furthermore - she's a Barrymore!
