Be Our Valentines

Consider this Week in Review a dozen roses from your loving Movieline staff (actually, the office cat ate one, bad kitty!), aspiring to show you each and every weekend our boundless affection for you. Why don't you slip into something a little more comfortable and join us after the jump? Either way, have a wonderful holiday weekend, and we'll see you back here fully clothed on Tuesday!

· Despite the Super Bowl's important commercials for men, at least one gay Clydesdale, a Leno/Letterman reunion, some record-breaking ratings and, of course, a long-awaited Saints victory, gameday was missing something. Ah! Got it.

· And just like that, Avatar was No. 2.

· Many thanks to our gracious interview subjects including Jeff Bridges, F. Gary Gray, Brian Posehn, Verge designee Brandon T. Jackson and inaugural Moment of Truth profilee Ernst Aebi.

· You know why The Jay Leno Show couldn't last? Not because Leno doesn't know good jokes, but because Jennifer Garner wasn't on there freaking out with Jessica Biel or talking about the time a dolphin orgasmed on her. Simple as that.

· Once you figure out how the Academy Awards' preferential-voting system works, stop by Movieline's Oscar Viewing Party in NYC to see how it all turns out!

· Next season, Jersey Shore will stretch alllllll the way to South Beach.

· R.I.P., Alexander McQueen.

· Both Spider-Man and Superman reboots need stars. We found their guys. (Still cant help with a Superman director, though.)

· While Julia Roberts was gradually turning into America's favorite crazy aunt, Wes Bentley went the heroin route. Glad to have you back, Wes.

· Finally! Ellen DeGeneres made it to the Hollywood stage of American Idol.

· The end. Hot diggity!
