What's On: Taxi Reunion By the Numb3rs
It may not be the full-blown Sunshine Cab Company reunion that they've been praying for, but tonight's episode of Numb3rs might be the closest Taxi fans come to realizing their dream since those strange Man in the Moon scenes. Tune in tonight as Alex and Elaine, er, Judd Hirsch and Marilu Henner, pair up for a glitzy episode of CBS's math drama.
Numb3rs [10 PM, CBS]
The team tracks down jewels worth a few million dollars that were stolen from an award ceremony. Meanwhile, Don (Rob Morrow) revisits a case that has been bothering him and Larry (Peter MacNicol) returns from his dessert adventure. William Katt also guest-stars.
Smallville [8 PM, CW]
Tonight, the CW airs a special two-part episode of Smallville with special guest star Pam Grier playing a head of an evil agency Checkmate, who sends Lois (Erica Durance) a mysterious package. Meanwhile, Clark (Tom Welling), Chloe (Allison Mack), the Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) and John Jones (Phil Morris) cooperate with the Justice Society of America after the deadly Icicle (Wesley MacInnes) takes aim at the group of superheroes. Mr. Welling directed the program's second hour.
Dateline [9 PM, NBC]
On Monday, the L.A. County Distract Attorney will file a case against Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson. But before that happens, let Josh Mankiewicz (great-nephew of Joseph L. Mankiewicz) inform you of new details about Michael Jackson's final years. Tonight's episode, titled "The Secret Life of Michael Jackson," also features interviews with several of Dr. Conrad Murray's former patients who could be charged in connection with Jackson's death.
Twister [9 PM, TBS]
Sometime between working the '80s music angle and starring in Showtime's polygamy hit Big Love, Bill Paxton was just another high-paid Hollywood lead enjoying juicy action roles. In this '96 Jan De Bont film, Paxton plays a weatherman on the brink of divorcing his wife (Helen Hunt in the midst of her Mad About You years) until Mother Nature stirs up their plans. Cary Elwes, Jami Gertz and a flying cow co-star.

Comments
Ahhh, but Cary Elwes (and Abraham Benrubi) were both almost entirely cut from Twister. The story I heard was that Jan De Bont hated Elwes and cut as much of him (and his team, which included Benrubi) from the film as possible.
