3. Brian Williams vs. Jon Stewart
For a split second during last night's Daily Show, Brian Williams seemed as though he was going to pull up his starched shirt and show off his abs, which he claimed rivaled The Situation's. Alas, journalistic integrity got the best of Williams and the the NBC Nightly News anchor kept his shirt firmly in place, instead dazzling viewers with his quick wit. As always, Brian Williams proved that he is one of the best -- if not the best -- Daily Show guest.

I can add one on the parenting front: I didn’t wish to face questions from my kids, from my chemo-bed or worse, from my death-bed. I imagined getting to solution, “Mom, why did not you give up?” That feeling of guilt and duty was a powerful incentive.
