Tina Majorino Plays 'My Favorite Scene' with Movieline!

Tina Majorino's history in refined television series (Veronica Mars, Big Love) has led her into revealing that she's a bit refined herself. Just before the premiere of her new ABC legal series The Deep End, we caught up with the 24-year-old actress and grilled her about her favorite film scene of all time. She whistled a happy tune, and no one suspected that I was afraid she'd bring up Waterworld.

"OK, I love The King and I. I'm a huge Yul Brynner fan. I love the scene where they danced after the big banquet; that's one of my favorite scenes in a movie of all time. It's romantic and sweet and wonderful."

I'd put Majorino's The Deep End co-star Billy Zane on the shortlist of actors to play the king in a revival. And not just because he's bald -- it's because he's authoritatively bald.

Every time I see her, I think of her playing Molly in "Corrina, Corrina." One of those "it's on TBS so I'll check it out" movies--I just adored it.
