Hung Out to Dry

Here's a surefire way not to keep your job as a waiter at Beverly Hills power-loxery Barney Greengrass: Tweet the fact that Hung star Jane Adams dined-and-dashed. That's what Jon-Barrett Ingels did after Adams realized she had no cash to pay her $13.44 lunch check. She promised she'd return moments later but never did, leading Ingels to tweet: "Tues: Jane Adams, star of HBO series "Hung" skipped out on a $13.44 check. Her agent called and payed the following day. NO TIP!!!" About a month later, when she'd caught wind of the tweet, she came back in and handed Ingels $3. Despite damage-control follow-up tweets like "For the record I think Jane Adams (Hung) is a great actress!!" he was sh*tcanned. He's been chronicling his unemployed life on his Twitter page, where you can spy him holding a sympathy-inducing baby. [HuffPo]

Finally, Twitter makes a difference in the World.

    he's bitching about a tip on a $13 ticket?
    what a puss.
but, since he might have had to cover that ticket at the end of his shift, she should have tipped considerably more...and she shouldn't have bitched about it to his boss.
    so they both fail.

most, if not all, places have strong rules about not pulling this kind of stunt. tripled a place in Bev Hills that is 90% celebs dining there. sure hope that kid isn't trying to get into the business. imagine if he got into an audition and someone remembered his little stunt.
as for the matter of the tip. 15% on that check is $2.02. she gave him $3. which after what he did was way more than he deserved.

Nobody should be treated like crap and fired like that. Jane Adams is no more special than the waiter she ran out on and got fired. With this economy she should help him get his job back. It is her fault for not paying.
Jane Adams is a NOBODY compared to a producer that I walked into a Best Buy Store with. He had a wad of cash, but decided to use a credit card since he was away from home. He just reached in his thick wallet loaded with cards and grabbed a card and handed it to the cashier. She swiped it then cut it up. I about had a heart attack. She did not bother to check his ID, he had protection on his cards and forgot. The card company flagged it because he had not used it in a while and it was just swiped in Kansas City, Missouri. He became so angry, he only stayed two days for auditions and then went back to Hollywood and left us the money to film the sequel to his movie on our own. He did not eve bitch and get the cashier fired.

Wait a minute, she had "no cash" to pay the bill? What about a credit/debit card? Check? And then she doesn't return with the money that day? Give me a break...stoopid bitch. She should apologize and demand the guy get his job back.

T-brain never would have done that.

  • Whatever, Dad says:

It's unprofessional to blab about the celebrity customers you serve on Twitter. That kind of thing could impact business, so it makes sense that the restaurant fired him. He only has himself to blame for not using his brain. Also, his sense of entitlement on his Twitter feed is nauseating ("Who's going to feed my daughter?!" You are. And maybe next time you'll behave like a thinking adult instead of a teen-aged gossip. You're not owed a job just because you have a child, especially when you do something unethical, like slamming the customers on Twitter). If somebody doesn't tip, it's wrong, but he handled it the wrong way.
