Producers Evict Jennifer Morrison from House

House is one of the world's biggest television shows, so one can see why original cast member Jennifer Morrison would want to keep her job there, even as the addition of new characters demoted her to little more than a glorified extra over the past few seasons. And hey, she played Kirk's mom in Star Trek this year...maybe that could earn her a little more screen time, right? Not quite, says EW's Michael Ausiello:

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Jennifer Morrison is leaving House.

Neither Fox nor Morrison's reps would comment, but I'm told the actress did not quit; her exit was a creative decision on the part of producers. Morrison -- the first of the show's original cast members to depart -- shot her last scene earlier this week and her final episode will air in November.

Suspicions about Morrison's House future were raised last week when she was MIA at the show's premiere screening in Hollywood.

Tough break! Maybe Obama is hiring?

Does Ginnifer Goodwin need a stunt double?

    Chins up, Jennifer.

Are you kidding me? If anything Cameron would have had a harder time leaving than Chase. That was a frequent storyline in episode 1-3 where Cameron was more forgiving of House because of her attraction to him, even after she hooked up with Chase. Season four and five were busts, and I thought season 6 might have some promise. I waited all summer, and now I am so disappointed, I don't even want to attempt to keep watching. I am just going to buy the DVD's for season 1-3 and convince myself it was only a three season show.

Definitely with you on that one. the HOUSE writers have made a fatal error. I waited so long, sat through so much crap just for a glimpse of her and chase, but now I'm definitely going to stop watching now that this has happened.
I wish Jen all the best. She really deserves more than what she has put up with on that show.

If any one of the original team should have stayed on the show it's Cameron. She had ties to everyone one of the original characters, she missed diagnostics and there was a lot of story for her that hadn't even been touched. Not to mention Shore had been promising her fans for two years that she would be back.
If they had to lose a cast member, why not Foreman or Thirteen? Both of them have been used up.
Like the poster above, I've got my seasons 1 -3 DVDs from when the show was good. Don't care to watch with these characters and the House/Cuddy storyline.
