So You Think You Can Explain Why These Fox Stars Are on 'Guys With iPhones?'
There's a disturbing -- well, some might find encouraging -- trend hitting the always befuddling, herd-mentality-driven Internet. Since launching in April, site GuysWithiPhones.com [very NSFW] has featured a rogues' gallery of self-submitted snap-bandits, captured with their iPhones in a bathroom mirror either nude or semi-nude and in various states of arousal. OK, fine, whatever floats your app. But now, recognizable faces have begun to pop up on there.
First, R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe showed up, doing a little upright Nightswimming in a shower. Now, two stars of the very highly rated current season of So You Think You Can Dance have shimmied into the mix: Eliminated finalist Jonathan Platero is in athletic pants, and frontrunner Ade Obayomi, who actually has a shot at winning the show, appears in wet tighty-whities with what appears to be a semi-Obayochubby. The iPhone really drags people down to 'random hornball' levels. All stars should be required to submit their 'what I would look like on Manhunt' photo shoots.
I think in Ade's case, it is a desperate plea for understanding. Imagine all the extra compensation he has to make while dancing with a center of gravity that low.
