The Bachelorette to Choose Temporary Lifemate Tonight!
After months of steadily decreasing rose disbursements and exponentially increasing filler in Bachelorette episodes, Jillian's long journey down the path of love ends tonight. Choosing one's potential mate is a huge decision for most mammal species, but even chimps can do it with fewer faux-suspenseful act breaks.
The Bachelorette [8 PM, ABC]
In the two-hour finale, Jillian will choose between Ed and Kiptyn after a final date with each in beautiful, humid Hawaii. ABC promises a "last-minute confession" that might affect Jillian's decision Even if it's one of those good confessions (heir to a meat fortune, tantra expert), Jillian will still spend most of the episode crying.
Dancing Tweens [8 PM, TLC]
Three tween dance pairs compete in the Wisconsin State Dancesport Championships. This might be something if they were also vampires, but all this has is a punny title. Other future ABBA-punning shows we'd like to see: Knowing Me, Knowing Yul (a special look at Yul Brenner's life & career), S.O.L. (documentary about the US auto industry), and The Winner Bakes It All (a Food Network pastry decathlon).
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List [10 PM, Bravo]
In a very special gay rights episode of MLotDL, Kathy raises money for a charity and meets with homeless gay youths. Melissa Etheridge and Drew Barrymore lend their support. In other Kathy Griffin news, if you haven't seen the episode of Paris Hilton's My New BFF with Kathy, it's not a bad watch.
Wilco: Ashes of American Flags [10 PM, Sundance]
Given the depressing genius of I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, a filmmaker could shoot lead singer Jeff Tweedy administering to land mine victims and it would feel like a joyful romp. Unlike that story of extra- and intra-band difficulties, this is more of a concert film with interludes from life on the road. Very few American bands make relevant, genre-punishing music these days, so savor this incarnation of the band before they add or subtract another multi-instrumentalist.

Comments
Knowing Me, Knowing Yule was, of course, the Christmas special that followed the six episode series of Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge.
