Friday Box Office: G Whiz
The costumed masses at Comic-Con may seem silly sometimes, but as I blog from the floor of the convention center next to a woman dressed as a sexy, blue-haired cat, I learn that back on Planet Non-Con, talking guinea pigs and vibrating panties triumphed at the box office yesterday. So, I put it you, dear reader: Perhaps it's mainstream America that needs the intervention? The full Friday numbers, after the jump:

Comments
It's nice to see that Public Enemies is at least still in the top ten list. While neither this or State of Play were flawless, it was nice to see Universal at least trying to release some adult fare amidst the exploding testicles(*) and whatnot that defined this summer's largest blockbusters.
(*) Just as a note, the exploding testicles comment refers to Transformers, not Bruno, which was of course Universal's less successful attempt at an exploding testicles summer movie.
