On Day One, NBC Created a Show From the Ribs of Every Other Show

It appears that some NBC exec heard about the recent 2012 mashup trailer and decided to take all those elements quite literally, as the trailer for NBC's upcoming fall series Day One has just leaked and not only is it a disaster show that resembles 2012, it's a liberal mashup of just about every sci-fi/fantasy/NBC property out there. Let's count the allusions!

Allusion: 24

1:42 Our mysterious, brooding hero disarms a man and disassembles his weapon. What kind of backstory that would teach him to do a thing like that, and what tragedy was he unable to stop during said backstory that has forever changed him?

Allusion: Everything else, ever

2:18 "I chose each and every one of you," says a glamorous Charlyne Yi-alike (!) to all the main characters.

Allusion: Lost's mysterious Jacob
