Sarah Palin Continues Late Show Promotional Campaign With Stop At Today Show

Sarah Palin's 'You Raped My Daughter: Now You Pay' World Tour 2009 made a pit stop at The Today Show this morning, where Matt Lauer humored the Governor for a few minutes about her exciting new Alaska-Canada pipeline/waterslide initiative before he broached the topic of her ongoing feud with confirmed sex predator David Letterman. (It begins around the 3:20 mark.) Palin unleashed an avalanche of irate talking points, as the backdrop behind her magically dissolved into a waving American flag, each of its 50 stars replaced by a tiny Dave-head inside a red no-smoking circle.

The points fly fast and furious: His joke promoted the "acceptance of abuse of young women," the time has come for the nation to "start really rising up" against the pervy Late Night patriarchy, whose patented brand of Rape Humor contributes to "[young girls'] low self-esteem in America." Wait! She's not finished: If you were to hand her a dry-erase marker and a whiteboard, she could easily "connect the dots to a degrading statement made about young women, and that does contribute to some acceptance of abuse of young women."

Asked about her own retaliatory Willow rape joke, she replied, "Hey, take it however you want to take it. It is a comment that came from the heart that Willow, no doubt, would want to stay away from David Letterman after he made such a comment. And you can interpret that however you want to interpret it."

Letterman's serve.

Remember that girl in middle school who ran the 800 in track and at every meet would have a sudden attack of exhaustion/illness so that people would pay attention to her and cheer for her even though she was far from the fastest runner? Palin is that girl. Just substitute rape for asthma.

It's so adorable how she thinks she's some kind of feminist.

I love that she considers her being associated with flight attendants as disparaging to flight attendants.

It's a neck and neck race for who is the dumbest woman who gets interviewed on TV. Palin or Prejean.

  • Blame the mom of the disparaged girl who never asked to be thrust into the limelight.
    Nice work.
Let's see you take the same approach when the Obama girls get in Letterman's cross hairs.
Oh, wait. Letterman doesn't do Obama jokes of any kind.
And Prejean is so stupid! (How stupid is she?) She has the same position on gay marriage as the president!)
