Is This the Future of Entertainment?

· Greek father-and-son comedy act Stavros Flatley beat out soulful schoolboy Shaheen Jafargholi in the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals. It's sad for Shaheen, but ultimately best for the competition, as Susan Boyle will now face down challengers in similar weight and body-hair classes.

· Married real estate agents Melinda and Scott Tamkin are suing CSI producer Sarah Goldfinger for $6 million, for having loosely based some characters on them, they allege. An L.A. Superior Court judge will hear arguments in case Tamkin vs. You Gotta F**king Be Kidding Me sometime in the next few weeks.

· Joss Whedon reacts! to a Buffy remade without him: "I hope it's cool."

· A mini Enough, Already: After reading dozens of identical posts today written by outraged, totally over-it bloggers pledging that the Twitter TV show -- whatever that is, as no one seems to know -- is the last straw and f*ck-the-world-they-want-to-get-off. etc. etc., all I can say is, I can't wait to tune in and I hope it's a big ratings hit. Like, who cares? What is being ruined here? Twitter? TV? The whiny blogosphere? Everyone shut up.

· Now I'm all worked up. I think I need to spend some time with the Pygmy Jerboa again. Oh, Jerboa. Your obsessive-compulsive cleaning habits, general lack of equilibrium, and overall bipedal-rodenty cuteness never fails to bring a smile to my face.

For serious, re: the Twitter show outrage. I mean, really, TWITTER USERS are concerned about overexposure?

Seth, I couldn't agree more re: Twitter. People are outraged in a world that is making major motion pictures from freaking board games like Candyland? Shaddup, indeed.

Joss Whedon is classy. 'Nuff said.
I am opposed to the Twitter show for one reason: Twitter needs to disappear into the black hole of uncoolness already (where it will be welcomed with open arms by other failed trends such as Furbies and texting via pagers), not be prolonged by some trendy sitcom. Hulu claims to turn people's brains into mush, while Twitter actually does so. Isn't it bad enough that kids now think it's perfectly acceptable to talk completely in txt? Do we now have to deal with only half-formed thoughts as well?
