Dollhouse May Dodge Fox Executioners

While preparing the final touches for next week's upfront presentations, the higher-ups at Fox left their Series Gas Chamber unattended for a few minutes. That was all the time Joss Whedon needed to put his 11th-hour jailbreak scheme in motion, springing Dollhouse from its straps to live another day on the network. Maybe.

The Live Feed reports that Whedon and his abysmally rated Friday series have a few days before they're in the clear, and that Fox may still decide to put Dollhouse down. But, it's noted, network bosses sort of dug the second half of the series -- except for the 1.0 rating, I presume -- and might push it to advertisers next week if they think they can get it cheaper. And they probably can -- if it gets a cleaner cot somewhere far away from Cell Block Friday. Or maybe it'll be dead by Monday morning, Anything could happen. Either way, this means a weekend-long candlelight vigil for the Whedon faithful. Good luck with that, gang.

When did Eliza Dushku start moonlighting on The Real Housewives of New Jersey?

If the show comes back, can Thirtysomething's Polly Draper play Dushku's distraught mother (or her in the future)? The resemblance is uncanny.
