· Tragedy: NBC's VP of Drama Programming Nora O'Brien died yesterday after fainting on the set of the Parenthood pilot in Berkeley. Cause of death was a brain aneurysm. She was 42. NBC Universal's statement: "Our hearts go out to the family and friends of our beloved colleague Nora, who was respected and cherished by so many people in the entertainment community. She'll truly be missed by all of us." UPDATE: The Marin Independent Journal reports she was playing basketball at the time; cause of death has not yet been determined.

That's a pretty impressive Reuter's write-up on Idol (writer and editor listed). . . Guess there's not much else going on in the world. . .
