Is it a monster movie? A ghost tale? A demonic thriller? Clive Owen's battling something in the new international trailer for Intruders, but what they are, exactly, remains to be seen. Suffice to say, he's not going to let these shrouded, hooded figures mess with his daughter (Ella Purnell, who played the young Keira Knightley in Never Let Me Go) for long. Hit the jump to see what director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) has up his sleeve.
From this trailer it's clearer that Intruders involves two parallel storylines, two children both being haunted by something that goes bump in the night. (Also: More Carice van Houten? Yes please.) Is Owen's concerned father hero a little crazypants, or is he the only grown-up who believes in the demons haunting his daughter at night for a reason? Is there, perhaps, a metaphor or a twist at the end we can predict from the evidence here? And can I vote now for that Neville Longbottom kid to play Owen's long-lost teenage son in the sequel?
Intruders hits theaters October 7.
