Is This Taylor Momsen Cover of 'F*ck You' the Low Point of Contemporary Pop Culture?

Just one month after Gwyneth Paltrow and her blond tresses brought "F*ck You" to the halls of McKinley High School on Glee, another fair-haired beauty has taken a crack at Cee-Lo's anthemic 2010 hit. That's right, earth: Anything Gwenie can do, Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen can do better? Don't shoot the messenger; this is just the world we occupy in the 21st century.

Momsen and her band, The Pretty Reckless, appeared on BBC Radio 1 to promote their European tour last week, and proceeded to performed a stripped down version of the radio-friendly "Forget You." Comparatively speaking, this is light years ahead of Paltrow's cover, but that just means it's soul-crushingly awful and not the spawn of Satan. When reached for comment, Movieline's white-girls-covering-Cee-Lo expert S.T. VanAirsdale praised Momsen for getting the gender relationship right, then immediately started stockpiling blankets, canned goods and bottled water. It might be advisable for you to do something similar.
