Here's something I learned today: When Zach Galifianakis does a Between Two Ferns, it's pretty funny because we know it's not real -- even though we try to pretend that it is real. When an actual journalist tries to pull this same stunt, it's sphincter clenchingly awkward -- especially at a press junket.
So, yeah, imagine Galifianakis's surprise when while promoting It's Kind of a Funny Story he was asked questions like, "Compare and contrast this film with all of the other films that have been made," by a reporter from something called Good Morning Texas. When Galifianakis asked Gordon Keith to clarify, the list was cut from all films to The Wizard of Oz, Sling Blade and Lost. Ladies and gentlemen, next time you're thinking, "I wonder why Movieline, or any other outlet for that matter, didn't interview whomever," this is why.
