Michael Bay has officially started the Transformers 3 release-date countdown on his Web site -- which, in the grand scheme of things, is not nearly as important as the reality of seeing just how unglamorous megabudget filmmaking can sometimes be. Take this video that began making the rounds over the holiday weekend, featuring some blue screen, some hydraulics, a pop and a scream. There's no real way of knowing the source of that yelp or the context of that explosion, but if I had to guess, I'd probably say there's a celebrated actor and his paycheck involved. Or Bay finally just had enough of Shia LaBeouf. As always, other suggestions are more than welcome.
