5 Things I've Learned From This He-Man Bollywood Musical Sequence

1) In 1989, Bollywood put out a movie entitled Nafrat Ki Aandhi, which the All Movie Guide describes as a 160-minute epic about "a police inspector who befriends [a] gambling house owner." Well, sure, that would explain why the film shuts down for a nearly six-minute musical number about action figure/children's cartoon He-Man!

2) Apparently, He-Man was big overseas in the 80's.

3) Sadly, He-Man's sartorial flourishes were lost in translation, as Indian designers replaced his (admittedly silly) costume with what appears to be a cut-up Red Cross novelty tee and hula skirt.

4) A note to Grayskull screenwriter Evan Daugherty: You now have proof that continuity is secondary to fabulosity. Make sure your She-Ra can carry a tune.

5) It's not too late to salvage another action figure franchise. Paramount, it's time to cook up an A.R. Rahman-composed musical number for G.I. Joe!
