Donald Trump and Miss California File for Opposite-Divorce

What a long, strange trip it's been for Miss California, Carrie Prejean: after weathering accusations of homophobia, dissent from pageant director Shanna Moakler, and a pair of free, orange bowls stapled just above her ribcage, Fox News (of course) is reporting that she will be stripped of her crown.

Fox obtained documents that indicate her imminent firing, a decision seconded by Miss USA owner Donald Trump (who just recently gave Prejean a stay of execution):

"This was a business decision, based solely on contract violations," Keith Lewis, executive director of K2 Productions, said in the documents. "After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together." [...]

"I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so," Trump said in the same documents. "Unfortunately it just doesn't look like it is going to happen and I offered Keith my full support in making this decision."

Also, former pageant director Shanna Moakler, who quit once Prejean was allowed to stay on, now wants to come back into the fold.

So are we done with Prejean as a nation? Hahaha, no. Look for her to file regular correspondent reports for Fox & Friends in no time, and to appear on the next season of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! (pending NBC's continued existence as a network next summer).
