As mentioned here before, the Movieline house was a popular place at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Among our many visitors with movies on the way, Alfonso and Carlos Cuaron were perhaps the only filmmaking brothers we hosted. Their collaboration (and Carlos's directorial debut) Rudo y Cursi opens this weekend; in a pair of exclusive video interviews after the jump, they talk about the inspiration, ambition and influences for the sibling soccer fable.
You've already heard a little from Carlos in yesterday's Movieline Interview with stars Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, but another few minutes of insight are worth it. Especially taken in tandem with Alfonso, who wrote his international breakthrough Y Tu Mama Tambien with his brother and says he sought to explore several layers of sibling rivalry in Rudo y Cursi. Plus, for good measure, he offers advice on how to achieve your own impossible, Children of Men-like trick shots when making movies of your own. Hint: It doesn't involve your brother.
