Shia LaBeouf Ready To Perform Sex 'For Real' In Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac?

Shia LaBeouf Nymphomaniac

This week Shia LaBeouf announced that his blockbuster phase is over. From here on out, he's focusing on working with indie artistes, starting with everyone's favorite provocateur, Lars Von Trier. But will Shia go all the way for his art on Von Trier's Nymphomaniac, which will reportedly be shot in both softcore and hardcore versions and potentially require its cast to perform unsimulated sex scenes?

"There's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, we're doing [the sex] for real," LaBeouf told MTV during a chat promoting Lawless, as Lawless co-star Jessica Chastain looked on lamenting the future corruption of "little Shia." "And anything that is 'illegal' will be shot in blurred images, but other than that, everything is happening."

Charlotte Gainsbourg will play the lead and reunite with her Antichrist director in Nymphomaniac, in which Von Trier "wants to see the sexual arousement of a girl [on screen]," according to producer Peter Aalbæk Jensen. Stellan Skarsgard and Nicole Kidman have also signed on to join the cast.

    Yawnsville...

Every few years another movie comes out where the actors... gasp!... have sex... for real.

We're always supposed to be shocked, and there's always some trite justification (9 Songs...).

You know what, I'm bored with this - yeah sex (simulated) is an important driving force in modern cinema, but so are car chases, and shoot-outs.

If Lars Von Trier or Michael Winterbottom had any real balls, they'd forget about filming permits, safety cordons, stunt driver etc, and just let the cast loose in rush hour traffic (William Friedkin style), and they'd use real fucking ammunition!

I'd pay to see that movie.

Maybe Shia and Charlotte can go one stage further, and actually conceive a child on screen - we haven't seen that before (and it's an important part of the human, and cinematic experience).

Then the Producers / Financiers can actually own a human baby as an asset - we can have a Truman Show scenario for real....

    Yay!

I just want Charlotte to be separated or better divorced (i don't follow celeb real life gossip news so maybe they are) from Yvan Attal if she really fucks Shia on-screen, i don't know i like Charlotte therefore want her to be a kind of 'i am not ashamed of myself, i have pretty great self-esteem, i do what i want and don't hurt others in the process' like i would be in this situation...lol of course actors fuck each others almost EVERY time they work together on a project off-set so not really a shocker this little 'news' and if Yvan don't mind well that is another story and their business..At the end of the day what i really want is to see a good movie, real sex on-screen or not (we already have porn for real-sex on-screen but great movies is more rare) , all in all what i really want is a great movie..Lars don't disappoint me..

I'm not sure that it is possible to express how little I want to see twitchy, sweaty Shia LaBeouf in any movie at all, let alone one in which he has actual sex onscreen. If he fell off the edge of the earth I wouldn't miss him.
Well, there, actually, I think that did express it.

Already seen LaBeouf nude once in that one music video. Don't need to see it again. I also don't see why it's necessary for people to actually have sex in a film. Unless it's an adult film, of course. For crissakes, does Von Tier have to be so extreme? I loved Melancholia, and all there really was in that one was Kirsten's boobs being bathed in the blue light of the rogue planet. Just boobs, no Shia penis.

That is so fucked up! Id dump that hairy monkey in a second!

Gainsbourg has already said she will not be performing actual sex (in an article on this very website) They intend to use standins for the actual penetration shots (as was done for his film Antichrist). Does anyone really think Gainsbourg and Kidman would do a movie like this if it meant money shots and closeups of vaginal penetration with their own vaginas? This is just another example of a actor trying to stir up controversy in order to maintain relevancy. It is just a shame that no one posting these quotes has the common sense to read the quotes from the actual stars and director of the film....
"I haven't read the script; I sort of had to commit to doing the film without reading it. [...] I know he wants to use porn actors as doubles, like we did in Antichrist, so they would do those shots but then we'd do the rest. I don't know up to what point, but I know I have limits. I had limits on Antichrist – I remember, he asked me to jerk off the porn actor, and that's when I said I couldn't. So we will see what my limit is for the next one."

I was under the impression that sex on screen was a humiliating and traumatizing experience for many actors who could not make it to the big time, but now it seems to have come full circle? Or maybe it's just clever directors who know that this type of thing has 'media attention' written all over it, and are just capitalizing on 'actors' who are so drunk on their own fame and deluded by their surreal Hollywood lifestyle that they start to justify in their own minds that this is what people want to see.
Movies are about stories, actors act out those stories, the keyword being 'act'. There is as much need for real sex in movies as there is for real death scenes. I have a hard time thinking that anyone has ever watched a James Bond movie, got to a sex scene and thought "I was really enjoying it up until this point, but this sex is totally unrealistic, lets skip ahead to the the CGI plane being blown up, that was AWESOME!". Only one explanation - see first paragraph. x

It's worth a try! I loved Melancholia, and all there really was in that one was Kirsten's boobs being bathed in the blue light of the rogue planet. Just boobs, no Shia penis.

This is all advertisement and nothing real.

  • It's in fact very complex in this active life to listen news on Television, thus I only use web for that purpose, and obtain the most up-to-date information.

on shia labaouf's defense films by larse von terre is saturated in sex. in antichrist you face into a close shot of a penis penetrating well you get the idea. so by agree to have sex on camera made things easier to light and angle the the shot. von terre is a director that has no shame. labaouf is prolly going to get alot of flack for this and the more shia tries to explain himself the more people miss the point.
