Any Day Now, The Invader and Five Star Existence Among Top Seattle Fest Winners
Nicolas Provost's The Invader won the prize for Best New Director, while Finnish filmmaker Sonja Lindén's Five Star Existence took home Best Documentary at the 38th Seattle International Film Festival over the weekend. Travis Fine's Any Day Now won Best Film in the Audience category, while Kirby Dick's The Invisible War won Best Documentary. And audiences picked Beasts of the Southern Wild filmmaker Benh Zeitlin For Best Director. Alan Cumming won Best Actor for Any Day Now and Jamie Chung Best Actress for Eden.
Wendy Mitchell Selected as Editor of Screen International
Mitchell has worked at Screen since 2005 and replaces Mike Goodridge in the top editorial job at the London-based publication. She has ben a journalist for 16 years and previous posts include staff editor at Entertainment Weekly, Managing Editor at indieWIRE, Asst. Editor at Rolling Stone Press and News Editor at CMJ New Music Report. Goodridge left Screen recently to take up his new post as CEO of Protagonist Pictures.

Zindagi Tops Indian Awards
Director Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi na Milegi Dobara won nine awards at the Indian Film Academy Awards, including Best Film, Director and Screenplay. The awards, held in a different city each year, were held in Singapore, Variety reports.
