Hey, Movieline twitter account. Suck it. Sweet Jesus, if it's so bad change your channel, tool.

    • Jen Yamato says:

Dear Tom (...Sherak?): It is that bad. Props where deserved, but it's my job to say so if it sucks. Don't you want a better future?

  • AS says:

Say what you want, I thought it was a really good show and Billy was terrific. And more surprises than I thought. So fucking happy for the following:

Best Editing - The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
Best Original Screenplay - Woody Allen
Best Supporting Actor - Chris Plummer
Best Actress - Meryl Motherfucking Streep (suck it Viola!!!)

    P.S. Hugo won 5 Oscars, not 4.

  • Trace says:

Where's the Best Picture nod for MI4?!!

  • Mayjan rai says:

    W0w the artist rocks

  • joe434 says:

Can someone respond to a simple question, why the standing ovation when an African American wins?

    • Strawberry Pain says:

Exactly. I can only assume you are referring to Meryl Streep's and Christopher Plummer's standing ovations; those hacks have been trading on the race card for YEARS.

  • Oscar Fan says:

I was more than overjoyed to see Meryl Streep win Best Actress over presumed favorite Viola Davis. "The Help" was the height of white-guilt inducing, condescending trash and should not have been given any sort of recognition in awards season. Any film that perpetuates the very stereotypes it purports to expose and critique is undeserving of Oscar gold, no matter how good the actors/actresses are in it. Let Davis, who does have talent, win for a better film another year.
