G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer Features All of the Dwayne Johnson and El Camino Gunfire You'll Ever Need

As far as I know, there is only one film in 2012 that features Bruce Willis opening machine gunfire on bad guys from the back of an El Camino. That film is G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Jon M. Chu's sequel to the 2009 feature, which features Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson and at least one sword fight in which all of the combatants are suspended from a cliff. You really have to see it to believe it.

You still don't believe it, do you? That's OK because you have until June 29 to process the fact that your (brother's) favorite childhood toys are the subject of a second live action feature. This time around, the musclebound G.I. Joe Team butts heads with Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), Storm Shadow (Lee Byung-hun) and Firefly (Ray Stevenson) amidst a flurry of explosions, camouflage and machismo ("The world ain't savin' itself."). If nothing else, watch it in memory of the G.I. Joe crew member who tragically died earlier this year while breaking down a set.

VERDICT: Strangely excited for this.

The only thing I don't believe is how there's even a sequel to that terrible G.I. Joe movie. I mean, someone paid for my ticket to see it and I still wanted my money back.

I'm with the writer. I've been a huuuuuuuuuuuge G.I. Joe fanatic for 20 years. My parents have a room in their house dedicated to my brother and I's collection of G.I. Joe toys, and i'll be the first to tell you that the first film was terrible and not deserving a sequel. But this one juts feels better to me. They seem to understand the "spirit" of G.I Joe more. Cautiously optimistic...

I agree with sam and the writer. This looks shamelessly watchable/enjoyable. I'll skip the first one, and watch this insted.
