Tree of Life 10-Word Review Contest: We Have Our Winners!

Let's hear it for all the Movieline readers who turned out to critique Terrence Malick's Tree of Life as part of our 10-word review contest! We've received some clever, concise and inspired submissions about the thought-provoking (and stoner-approved!) feature starring Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain and Sean Penn -- which is out on DVD and Blu-ray this week! Alas, we could only pick two winners. Click through to see whose witty write-ups earned them a Tree of Life combo pack.

The verdicts on Tree of Life were varied, with guest critics calling the film everything from a "cinematic masterpiece" to "the best computer screen saver you will ever see" which will undoubtedly cause "ass fatigue." That being said, the two winning reviews are:

· Glebe: "Meditative examination of life's -- Whoa look at that cool sunbeam!"

· Anonymous: "Beautiful Cinematography, Dinosaurs, and Brad Pitt. Perfect for high definition."

Congratulations to the winners (Movieline will be in touch shortly), and thanks again to everyone who participated in this special Tree of Life contest. As always, please check back for more Movieline giveaways!

Sigh. I saw it three times Julie. Three times. This guy can't be as in love with this picture as I am!

  • Julie Miller says:

Why on earth would you see it three times!?

  • The WInchester says:

Really should've seen it. But sneak into Priest instead. Sigh.
(Oh wait, the contest is over now, isn't it?

  • j'accuse! says:

Love Julie. I loved it. Enough that if Mr. Malick started a cult, I'd be the first to join. It actually blew me away how much I loved it - a total departure from my usual ironic snarky self. I just got so wrapped up in it that I saw it as many times as my schedule would allow me to. I'd have seen it more if could have.

  • Edward Wilson says:

Why is Brad Pitt giving Michelle Williams a piggyback?...

  • Julie Miller says:

I completely respect this level of dedication.
