This morning, we revisited Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen in Snow White and the Huntsman and this afternoon, we get to see the Academy Award-winning actress as a suburban ice princess who returns to her hometown in sweats to lie to Hampton Inn employees, blatantly flirt with her married high school sweetheart and drink around the clock. All I've ever wanted to see onscreen is a sneering, sweatsuit-wearing, Diet Coke-swilling heroine with complete disregard for societal concerns and Charlize Theron appears to be just that in Young Adult. The comedy drama follows Theron's character, a teen lit author, as she returns home to hook her married high school crush (Patrick Wilson looking a lot like Chris Pratt). Only instead, she forges an unlikely bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) in dimly lit alleyways.
Unfortunately for everyone, Young Adult won't hit theaters until December 9.
VERDICT: Honestly, this trailer had me at the Hampton Inn establishing shot. Someone start the countdown...
