Bruce Willis May Enlist in G.I. Joe 2, and 5 Other Stories You'll Be Talking About Today

· Paramount is pretty serious about making G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation a summer event next June. The studio is reportedly in talks with Bruce Willis to star in the Jon M. Chu-directed sequel, alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Adrianne Palicki and a likely returning Channing Tatum. Starpower! If signed, Willis would play Gen. Joe Colton, the original G.I. Joe who put the team together initially; his possible involvement in the project was first reported back in July, but it appears negotiations are now in full swing. [THR/Heat Vision]

· Oren Moverman has signed up to write The Terrorist Search Engine, an adaptation of a New York magazine article that Scott Rudin is producing. Engine follows a 23-year-old counter-terrorism expert named Evan Kohlmann ("the Doogie Howser of terrorism"), who was seen as controversial because of the ease with which he testified for the government. Jesse Eisenberg is attached to play Kohlmann should this one ever get fully off the ground. [Deadline]

· If you loved the fake trailers at the beginning of Tropic Thunder, Ben Stiller has some good news: through his Red Hour Films production company, Stiller is starting The Fake Trailer Project, a digital media undertaking that will feature some of your favorite comedy talents producing weekly fake trailers. Justin Theroux, Tom Lennon & Ben Garant, and Amy Heckerling are reportedly among the names already involved in Fake Trailer Project, which will likely rollout in the fall. Who left the fridge open? · Dakota Johnson -- daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, and who memorably slept with Justin Timberlake's Sean Parker in The Social Network -- has grabbed the female lead in Gay Dude. The teen comedy follows two guys who want to lose their virginity before prom -- until one of them comes out of the closet. Parks & Recreation writer Alan Yang is responsible for the script, so maybe this won't be as hackneyed as the premise suggests. [Variety]

· Stephanie Szostak, who you might remember from Dinner for Schmucks, is in talks to play Ryan Reynolds' onscreen wife in R.I.P.D. for director Robert Schwentke. Schwentke! [THR/Heat Vision]

· What will be the defining catchphrase from Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Let the debate rage! (Spoilers, if you click through.) [Badass Digest]
