· Paramount is pretty serious about making G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation a summer event next June. The studio is reportedly in talks with Bruce Willis to star in the Jon M. Chu-directed sequel, alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Adrianne Palicki and a likely returning Channing Tatum. Starpower! If signed, Willis would play Gen. Joe Colton, the original G.I. The teen comedy follows two guys who want to lose their virginity before prom -- until one of them comes out of the closet. Parks & Recreation writer Alan Yang is responsible for the script, so maybe this won't be as hackneyed as the premise suggests. [Variety]
· Stephanie Szostak, who you might remember from Dinner for Schmucks, is in talks to play Ryan Reynolds' onscreen wife in R.I.P.D. for director Robert Schwentke. Schwentke! [THR/Heat Vision]
