David Schwimmer Wants to Adapt Upton Sinclair's The Jungle

DavidSchwimmer150.jpgWondering how Paul Thomas Anderson and David Schwimmer could be forever connected? Try Upton Sinclair. In a new interview with Empire Online, Schwimmer confirmed that he has "commissioned an adaptation of The Jungle," Sinclair's 1906 novel about immigration and the meat-packing industry. Fingers crossed this latest Sinclair film adaptation works as well as There Will Be Blood. [Empire]

"Fingers crossed this latest Sinclair film adaptation works as well as There Will Be Blood", really? There Will Be Blood is one of the greatest films that has ever been made and your hoping something adapted by David Schwimmer might equal it? Hmmm, interesting.

  • NP says:

It says he _commissioned_ the adaptation. It doesn't say he's writing the adaptation himself.

  • AS says:

    That wasn't my point.

  • I wrote a screenplay adaptation of Upton Sinclair's fantastic novel, The Jungle; I would very much like to present my screenplay to David Schwimmer. Could you please tell me how I can contact him?
