Last month, DreamWorks debuted the first trailer for Craig Gillespie's 3-D remake of Fright Night. The film features a sarcastic high schooler (Anton Yelchin) who tries to stop his hunky vampire neighbor (Colin Farrell) from terrorizing the members of his suburban town -- specifically his mom (Toni Collette) and surprisingly hot girlfriend (Imogen Poots). And in a new glimpse of the film, we see how Yelchin actually plans on taking down Jerry -- a.k.a. the vampire with the worst name ever.
By enlisting the help of a Las Vegas illusionist who looks a lot like Criss Angel! Played by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire co-star and former Dr. Who David Tennant, Peter Vincent apparently knows a lot about defeating vampires. He'll suggest crossbows. He'll suggest stakes. Though, he probably didn't suggest relying on a smartphone for directions on picking locks. Even with the Criss Angel-ian dynamics, Fright Night 2.0 looks thrilling.
Look for Fright Night in theaters Aug. 19.
